A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to CLOSE the Julian Carroll-Purchase Parkway Exit 25 NORTHBOUND RAMP to US 45 at Mayfield starting Friday, April 20.
KYTC Public Information Officer Keith Todd says the Purchase Parkway Exit 25 NORTHBOUND RAMP to US 45 at Mayfield will be closed starting Friday morning for upgrades, including removal of old curb and gutter, widening of the ramps and extending the ramp.
This northbound Purchase Parkway ramp to US 45 on the north side of Mayfield is expected to remain closed for about 6 to 7 days.
During this ramp closure portable message boards placed along the parkway to provide direction with a marked detour via the Purchase Parkway Exit 24 northbound exit ramp to KY 121 at Mayfield.
M&M Contracting is the prime contractor on a $2.4 million ongoing project to upgrade bridges and ramps along the Parkway to allow I-69 to be extended southward along the parkway in the future.
Once the ramp widening and upgrade work is completed the contractor will return for paving of ramps at several interchanges.
