Five arrested in Weakley County on drug charges

Five people are facing multiple drug charges after Weakley County Sheriff’s Office investigators make drug busts in three separate cases.

Robert Thomas

Weakley County Sheriff’s Captain Randall McGowan says 45-year-old Robert Tremain (Tweety) Thomas of Greenfield was arrested Sunday, April 15, by Deputy Jamie Merrell on a contempt of court warrant from juvenile court and for driving on a suspended or revoked license.
McGowan says during the arrest, Deputy Merrell recovered close to 21 grams of crystal meth, valued at nearly $2,100, along with other assorted pills.
Thomas now faces charges of Possession of Schedule Two (meth) with Intent to Resale, Possession of Schedule Two (hydrocodone) with Intent to Resale, Possession of Schedule Four, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Introduction of Drugs into the County Jail. After being brought into the jail, it was found Thomas had hid meth in his sock.
Solomon Clay

Lindsey Ricketts

In a separate incident, McGowan says on Tuesday, April 17, 36-year-old Solomon Dewayne Clay of Martin and 31-year-old Lindsey Faye Ricketts of Latham were arrested after investigators from the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Ricketts’ residence.
McGowan says officers recovered two baggies of meth in a bedroom of the house. The meth weighed a total of 11 grams with a street value of $1,100.
Officers also recovered a semi-automatic handgun from the bedroom along with digital scales and over $1,500 in cash.
Both Clay and Ricketts are charged with Possession of Schedule Two (meth) with Intent to Resale, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Use of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
Captain McGowan says Ricketts was out of jail on bond with another possession of meth charge pending in Weakley County Circuit Court.
Wesley Jay Wilson, Jr.

Lacy Nicole Wilson

That same day, investigators from the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office conducted a welfare check on children at a residence on Barnett Road in Dresden.
McGowan says the children were not home at the time, but officers did arrest 58-year-old Wesley Jay (Egg Man) Wilson, Jr. and 36-year-old Lacy Nicole Wilson after recovering close to four ounces of crystal meth, numerous bags of marijuana, flat pink items described as marijuana “cookies,” and a bag of unknown brown substance from the residue.
Digital scales, five firearms, and $1,100 in cash was also recovered from the residence.
McGowan says the street value of the meth would have been at least $11,000.
