Two Injured, Citations Issued In Two-Car Accident

 
 
Union City, Tenn.—At least two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident late Monday afternoon in Union City and one of the drivers was issued three citations.
 
Driver Tina Plunk, age 53, of Martin, was cited for failure to yield, lack of insurance and driving on a revoked license.
 
According to the Union City Police report, the accident occurred around 6 p.m. at E. Main Street and North Clover Street. Plunk said she was southbound on North Clover and was stopping at the stop sign and her foot slipped off the brake. Her vehicle continued into the intersection and the front of her car struck the other car in the left driver door area.
 
The driver of the second car, Paris Gaines, age 43 of Union City, said she was eastbound on E. Main attempting to turn left when the accident happened. Two of her passengers suffered injuries. James Milligan, age 72, of Union City, complained of neck injury, but said he would take himself to the hospital. The report also said another passenger, Gloria Cole, age 55, of Union City, also took herself to the emergency room.
