Dresden, Tenn.—The Weakley County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the inmate who died early Monday morning in the jail.
He is identified as Danny Joe Boane. Boane was 35 years old and was from Martin, according to Captain Randall McGowan. McGowan said Boane was serving a four-year sentence for aggravated burglary.
Boane’s body was sent to the medical examiner’s office in Nashville and an investigation is being conducted by the TBI at the request of the sheriff and district attorney.
Boane began having a seizure early in the morning and as the ambulance arrived, he went into cardiac arrest. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the jail.
