Truck Destroyed In Fire

 
 
Springville, Tenn.—A leaking brake line may be the cause of a fire that destroyed a truck Sunday in Springville.
 
The Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a storage building at 5932 E. Antioch Rd. Sunday afternoon and found a small Ford truck fully engulfed in flames. Owner Edwin Reiners of Spring Hill said he was backing his pontoon boat into a storage building when he saw smoke coming from the hood of the truck.
 
Fire Chief Reggie Coles said, “When he raised the hood flames erupted.  The truck was a total loss, a leaking brake line is the suspected cause.  Minor damage was also done to the pontoon boat.”
 
Damage is estimated at $4000.  Two trucks and 6 firefighters were on the scene for an hour.
