Benton, Ky.—A newspaper delivery man was arrested for burglary by the Benton Police Department after an incident Sunday morning.
Allan M. Stewart of Benton is in the Marshall Co. Jail on a charge of first-degree burglary.
According to the Benton PD, Officer Steve Robinson responded to a residence on W. 24th St. Video surveillance showed Stewart pull into the driveway around 10:40 a.m., after delivering the paper.
In the video, Stewart is seen exiting his vehicle and entering the garage, then exiting a short time later carrying several items. A handgun was also observed in his side pocked.
Stewart also can be seen at the back of the residence where a window screen was removed and the window pried open.
Officers went to Stewart’s residence where several items from the burglary were recovered.
