Kaylee Marr Is Top Criminal Justice Student In State

Chattanooga, Tenn.—Student Kaylee Marr won the State Champion Award as the Henry County High School Criminal Justice students traveled to Chattanooga this week to compete in the Tennessee State Leadership and Skills Conference at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

Kaylee Marr competed in the Criminal Justice contest while Dylan McDonald, Courtney Bowden and Brooklyn Coleman participated as a team in Crime Scene Investigation. All students competed very well with Kaylee Marr winning the State award.

Her contest consisted of a formal interview, collection of fingerprint evidence, a low risk traffic stop and a domestic assault call resulting in an arrest.  Marr had to conduct herself as a law enforcement officer in the field following proper procedure and protocol.
Schools across the state of Tennessee participated in the competitions with the winners progressing to the 54th annual National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, KY in June.
