Paris, Tenn.—Three Paris residents were arrested on drug charges when a traffic stop for speeding revealed marijuana, meth and drug paraphernalia.
Officers with the Metro Crime Unit made the traffic stop Wednesday on E. Wood St. According to Paris Police Captain Ricky Watson, during the stop it was discovered that the driver, James Adams, had a revoked license.
Officers asked for and were granted permission to search the vehicle and officers found 37 grams of crystal meth, 62 grams of high grade marijuana and digital scales. The front seat passenger, Justin Simmons, who had active warrants for a probation violation, claimed ownership of the narcotics, Watson said.
