Paris, Tenn.—The Downtown Paris Parking Committee denied a request from a resident of a downtown apartment building for a designated handicap parking space.
Meeting Thursday afternoon, the committee denied the request as presented and recommended that the residence speak with the owner of the apartment building in regard to designating a parking space in the parking area behind the building.
The request had been submitted by Michael Nabors, who was seeking a reserved handicap parking spot for Lockhart Apartments at 302 N. Poplar St. Lockhart Apartments have been undergoing renovations and once the work is complete, Nabors will be renting the apartment as his primary residence.
