Waverly, Tenn.—The search for a missing Nashville Firefighter continues as deputies with the Humphreys County Sheriff’s Office Friday executed search warrants at two separate residences.
Nashville Firefighter Jesse Reed, age 32, has been missing since Monday morning after his vehicle plunged into the water near Mason’s Boat Dock in Waverly.
The water search for Reed continues as the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) also has begun assisting in the investigation.
Authorities say that Reed’s truck went into the water around 1:30 a.m. Monday and deputies found the vehicle submerged. Authorities are reporting that Reed’s wife was also in the vehicle when it went into the water, but was out of the water when deputies arrived.
Search crews found the vehicle around noon, but Reed was not in it.
Search warrants were executed at residences in Humphreys Co. and in Cheatham Co. where Reed formerly lived.
Meanwhile, both TBI Spokeswoman Susan Niland said the investigation is active and ongoing.
