Puryear, Tenn.—A double-wide mobile home was a total loss and the resident was arrested following a fire Monday afternoon in rural Puryear.

The Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to 2162 Hershel Sykes Rd. on a report of the home on fire. Fire Chief Reggie Coles said arriving units found the home fully engulfed in flames.

The occupant, William Vance, reportedly told officers he was burning personal items in the fireplace and lost control of the fire following a domestic dispute. He was arrested at the scene by Henry Co. Sheriff’s deputies.
