Union City, Tenn.—Both drivers were transported to the hospital following an accident Monday evening in Union City. The accident occurred at the intersection of Home St. and Florida Ave.
Mariah Turner, age 21, of Union City, was cited for having no driver’s license and lack of financial responsibility. She was driving southbound on Home St. at the same time that Judith Taylor, age 77, of Union City was westbound on Florida Ave.
Taylor said she pulled up to the stop sign and stopped, then started to move again. She said she did not see Turner coming.
Turner said she could not do anything when Taylor pulled into her path.
Both drivers were transported by ambulance to Baptist Memorial Hospital for treatment of possible injuries and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
