Trenton, Tenn.—A Gibson County High School student was suspended after he made threats toward the school Thursday.
The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release the incident began on the school bus and the student made threats.
The School Resource Officer dealt with the student and the student was suspended until further notice.
The sheriff’s office is currently continuing an investigation into the threat “and is taking the matter very seriously,” they said. Meanwhile, the sheriff’s office will be adding extra patrols at the high school until the investigation is complete.
