Update: Murray Police report that the suspect, Maurice Redman, has been located and is in police custody.
Murray, Ky.—Murray Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect in a burglary and stabbing.
Police are seeking Maurice Redman, age 22, of Clarksville, Tenn., who they have charged with first-degree burglary and first-degree assault.
Two others are being held in the incident: Trajan Yates, age 18, of Lacenter, Ky.; and Hannah Porter, age 18, of Calloway Co. Yates is charged with first-degree burglary and first-degree assault and Porter is charged with complicity in the crimes.
According to the press release, Murray Police were called to a home at South 15th St. on Wednesday at 12:48 p.m. on a report of a man having been stabbed. The victim, a 14-year-old man from Texas, had visible wounds and was taken to the local hospital.
Witnesses told police two men in ski masks and dark clothes forced their way into the home and stabbed Dixon. The mask of one of the men was pulled off and the victim recognized him—that suspect, Trajan Yates, was found nearby.
Police were unable to find Redmon. Murray Police said in the press release that the burglary and assault was not a random crime but that the suspects had a prior motive and specific victim.
