Regional Law Enforcement Meet In Henry Co.

Paris, Tenn.—The first regional meeting of sheriffs, chiefs of police, mayors and district attorneys was held at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office this week. The U.S. Attorney Michael Dunavant met in Paris in a new directive to hold periodic regional law enforcement meetings. The purpose is to come together jointly and discuss ways to make the community safer from criminals known as “the worst of the worst” by prosecuting them and ensuring they stay behind bars. Dunavant said, “We mean what we say. If you are a criminal and have earned the lifetime achiever award, we want to make sure you are given that award. The U.S. Attorney’s Office is open for business.” In photo, Henry Co. Sheriff Monte Belew is pointing out mug shots to Paris Police Chief Chuck Elizondo, Benton Co.
