Union City, Tenn.—A Kentucky woman was arrested for aggravated assault after she allegedly stabbed another woman multiple times during a Sunday altercation in a Union City residential neighborhood.
Edna Jones, age 55, of 754 Broadway in LaCenter, Ky., was arrested in front of 622 E. Palmer St.
Union City Police were called to E. Palmer Street after a 911 call in which dispatchers could hear people arguing in the background. Police located a van sitting in front of 622 E. Palmer and found Jones in the van, upset. She told police she had been assaulted by a woman who went into the residence.
Police found fresh blood on the front door and the victim bleeding from the face and neck inside the residence. The victim was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital with five stab wounds to her upper body.
