Paris, Tenn.—A portion of India Road remained closed this morning in Paris as multiple crews from the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) work to repair damage to electric lines from last night’s storm. BPU Electric Department Director Cole Edwards said three poles broke overnight and one of the poles has been replaced Saturday morning. Scattered damage is reported in the areas of Country Club Rd., India Rd., Henderson Rd. and Guthrie Rd., with trees uprooted, blocking roadways, power lines down, and roofs damaged.
