McKenzie, Tenn.—Dr. Volker Winkler of McKenzie died Saturday in a Nashville hospital after sustaining a severe head trauma earlier in the week while bicycling in McKenzie.
Dr. Winkler came to McKenzie in 1978 and became a managing partner of McKenzie Medical Clinic. He first joined the practice of Dr. S.S. Walker Jr., later opening the McKenzie Medical Clinic with Dr. Bryan Merrick and Dr. Terry Colotta.
Funeral services have not yet been announced.
