Union City, Tenn.—Vandals heavily damaged the public toilet facilities at Playground 2000 in Union City and Union City Police are seeking the culprits.
Officers were called to the playground, located at 300 Highland, Tuesday morning after David Allbright, the foreman for the UC Parks and Recreation Department, found the damage.
Allbright estimated cost to repair the damage will be from$3,000-$4,000. The bulk of the vandalism was to the men’s restroom, where the front door was broken, the sink pulled off the wall and the plumbing broken. Both lights in the restroom were shattered.
One exterior light outside the women’s restroom also was broken and the toilet was damaged.
