Union City, Tenn.—Union City Police were called to a business parking lot on a report of several counterfeit $100 bills scattered on the ground. Further investigation determined they were “Chinese bank teller training notes” available on Ebay.
Police were dispatched to the former Catfish Galley parking lot on the report and the complainant said she was leaving her shift at McDonald’s and found several bills scattered on the ground. She told officers the McWorth company owns the parking lot.
Some 130 bills were picked up fro the ground. All of the bills had the same serial numbers and stamped with Chinese writing. Officers googled the bills and discovered they are available for purchase on Ebay and are classified as being Chinese bank teller training notes.
