Dover, Tenn.—The Stewart Co. Sheriff’s Office assisted the County School officials today in performing scheduled lockdown drills at multiple schools in the county.
According to a Facebook post by the sheriff’s office, “After completing these drills several rumors started to escalate quickly. These rumors had no foundation and were all found to be false.”
The sheriff’s office said the drills are performed routinely “for the safety and well being of the students and faculty at our schools.”
