Springville Woman Tries Hiding In Creek

Paris, Tenn.—A Springville woman was arrested on a variety of charges after she tried to hide from deputies underwater in a creek.
Jessie D. Hall, age 29, of Howell’s Resort, was charged with evading arrest, reckless endangerment and possession unlawful drug paraphernalia after the incident Monday night.
According to the report at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Cpl. Blake Jenkins attempted to stop her vehicle on Hwy. 79 N after checking the license plate and being told by dispatch that the plate actually belonged to another vehicle.
Hall reportedly sped away as Jenkins was walking up to the vehicle and a pursuit began. The pursuit led to the Muzzall Road area and Hall at that point drove into a ditch and ran out of her vehicle and into the woods.
At this point, Paris Police Sgt. Jamie James and Deputy Kyle Waldron joined the search and found Hall hiding in the creek. Hall was transported to Henry County Medical Center as a precaution, but was not injured.
