Union City, Tenn.—At its recent party caucus, the Obion County Republican Party nominated Karl Jackson for County Sheriff, along with several other county commission candidates. Jackson formerly worked for the Union City Police Department.
The Obion County general election will be held August 2, with early voting set for July 13-July 28.
Obion County Elections Commission Director Leigh Schlager told WENK/WTPR this morning that three other candidates have taken out petitions to run for County Sheriff: Chief Deputy Kent Treece, Darrell Davis and John Davis.
At its caucus, the Obion county GOP also nominated these candidates for County Commission: District 2, Ryan Ellegood and Dean Jowers; District 3, Rob Holman; District 6, Bradley Maunder and Stan Mitchell; and District 7, Mike Daniel.
