Union City, Tenn.—Union City Elementary now has joined other area schools in offering a share table for all students in the lunchroom. The Parent Teacher Organization recently purchased a glass front refrigerator to help with this new project initiated by a group of teachers and staff. The share table is available for all students. Unwanted, unopened items can be added to the table. Any student may take an item from the table that they would like. School officials said, “It is a great way to eliminate waste in the lunchroom.” (UCES photo).
