Greenfield, Tenn.—The man wanted on warrants following a wild chase in which he almost hit a Tennessee state trooper has now been arrested.
Weakley County Sheriff Captain Randall McGowan said this afternoon that Travis Streeter taken into custody shortly after 1 p.m. in Greenfield.
Lt. Danny Smith of the Greenfield Police Department obtained information that Streeter was hiding in a house on Hwy. 45N. Greenfield Police and Weakley Co. deputies found him there and he was taken into custody without incident.
WENK/WTPR earlier reported that the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office had issued warrants for Streeter after he led officers on a chase that moved from Greenfield to Martin, running officers off the road and almost hitting a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper.
The warrants are for several charges of aggravated assault, evading arrest, reckless endangerment and reckless driving. Streeter had already been wanted on a probation violation warrant from an earlier meth arrest.
