Student Charged With Terroristic Threatening

Cadiz, Ky.–The Cadiz Police Department charged a juvenile today with Terroristic Threatening – Second Degree–following an investigation at the school.
School transportation officials were investigating bus misbehavior from Thursday, Jan. 25 and were able to determine that the student made a threat toward the school based on the audio and video uncovered.
The threat, which did not single out an individual or school, was made in the presence of other students but not reported by any of them. The Cadiz Police Department said in a press release, “We encourage parents to talk to your children and share with them the importance of reporting threats in order to keep our schools and community safe.”
The juvenile charged today was lodged in the McCracken County Juvenile Detention Center.
Last Tuesday, two students were killed and 19 injured in a school shooting at the Marshall County High School in Benton, Ky.
