Benton, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police has finished processing the crime scene at Marshall County High School and has turned over the property to the Marshall County School District.
Sixteen students suffered gunshot wounds as a result of the shooting at the school on Tuesday. Two of the victims died from their injuries. Seven more were injured in the incident. Currently, three students remain hospitalized but in stable condition.
The Kentucky State Police Critical Incident Team is continuing to investigate with the cooperation of local, state and federal partners.
