Million Dollar Quartet At The Dixie

Huntingdon, Tenn.–The Tony-award-winning Broadway musical, Million Dollar Quartet, will rock the stage of Huntingdon’s Dixie Carter Performing Arts & Academic Enrichment Center in a sold-out show, Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 7:30PM. It’s one of several sold-out shows that have been presented at The Dixie this season.
Inspired by that famous impromptu jam session at Sun Record Studios in Memphis that had Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, and Jerry Lee Lewis gathered around the piano harmonizing to their favorite hits and standards. A point of local interest: “Fluke” in the show is a portrayal of Johnny Cash’s only drummer W.C. Holland, who resides in Jackson.
This show features a score of unforgettable tunes like Matchbox, That’s All right, I Walk the Line, Riders in the Sky, Hound Dog, Peace in the Valley, Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On, Blue Suede Shoes, and Who Do You Love, to name a few.
More than a tribute show, this musical production brings to life that famous afternoon of December 4, 1956, when Cash, Presley, Lee, and Perkins’ paths crossed for the first and only time.
Tickets for future events can purchased at The Dixie Box Office, 731-986-2100, M-F, 10:00AM-4:00PM, or online at  DixiePAC.net.
