Marshall Co. Road Department Building Destroyed In Fire

 
Marshall County, Ky.—Structures and equipment worth $1 million was lost overnight when the Marshall County Road Department storage building was destroyed by fire. Included in the loss were six dump trucks, a water jet and snow clearing equipment.
Several area fire departments were on scene at the blaze. U.S. 68 W was blocked in both lanes near Draffenville for several hours while the fire was being extinguished.
The Road Department is located in Mike Miller Park. No cause for the fire has yet been determined and no one was injured.
