Union City, Tenn.—One man was arrested and more arrests are expected after multiple items stolen from a Union City man were found in a car and in a neighboring home.

Arrested was Kenneth Moore, age 34, of 904 High St., charged with burglary and theft of from $2,500-$10,000.

An East Jackson St. man called Union City Police to report the theft of several tools from two of his sheds between January 15 and 16. Stolen were Kobalt power tools, Stihl power tools, air compressor, power washer, propane heater and other hand tools.

Officers saw Moore in his car behind the next door neighbor’s house and saw tools in plain sight in Moore’s car. The tools matched the description of the stolen tools and the victim came to the scene and identified them.

A search warrant was then executed at 630 E. Jackson St. and several other items belonging to the victim were found there. Other arrests are pending.
