Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Courthouse and county government offices will close today.
Tonight’s Henry County Commission meeting has been postponed until next Monday night, January 22.
Henry County Mayor Brent Greer decided to close County Government today, Tuesday, Jan 16th due to continued hazardous weather conditions. Henry County is under Winter Weather Advisory through 9 a.m. this morning. This includes the Courthouse, Courthouse Annex, Central community Building, Health Dept and Recycling Center.
County EMA Director Ron Watkins noted the Henry County Sheriff’s Dept and Highway Dept have worked tirelessly through the extended holiday weekend winter storm.
Henry County received an additional 4 inches of new snow Monday night and roads remain hazardous throughout the county.
County offices plan to reopen tomorrow and any updates will be passed along to employees and media partners if needed.
