Union City, Tenn.—Two more cars in Union City have been stolen after the owners left them running outside. Both of the most recent incidents occurred Monday morning around the same time and both cars were later recovered. Another similar incident occurred last week in Union City.
At 7 a.m. Monday, a resident at 619 S. Second St. reported that his 2001 red Chevy Blazer had been stolen when he left it running in front of his house to put the dog up. Union City Police entered the stolen vehicle into NCIC and later that night, officers located the vehicle in the 100 block of Gibbs St.
In the vehicle were Lisa McDaniel, age 49, who was driving, and Dalton Haney, age 24, who was the passenger. Both are from Hickman. Both were arrested for theft over $1,000 and taken to the Obion County Jail.
At 7:30 a.m., a resident at 909 E. Martin Luther King Drive, reported a black 2017 Toyota Camry stolen from the driveway while the car was being warmed up outside. Union City police went to Troy to investigate a robbery and saw video footage showing a Union City man driving the car. A warrant has been issued for David Curtis Madding of 105 W. Gibbs St.
