HCMC Welcomes First Baby Born In 2018

Paris, Tenn.– A couple from Paris are the parents of the first baby born in 2018 at Henry County Medical Center. And the mother is a member of the HCMC family herself, an employee of the hospital’s Innovative Orthopedics department.

Proud parents Blake and Jessie Turner welcomed their baby boy Louis Miles at 8:06 a.m. Tuesday, January 2.  Their baby weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. and was 19 ½ inches long.

Each year, HCMC recognizes the first baby born in the hospital with a gift basket that includes baby items and a Wal-Mart gift card.

“Thank you all so much,” new mother Jessie said. The Turners are excited to add to their family. The addition of Miles expands their family from three to four. The Turner couple also have a two-year old son named Landyn.

Miles was delivered by Dr. Dennis Wieck of Paris Women’s Center.

In Obion County, Baptist Memorial is still waiting for its first new year baby to be delivered.
