Paris, Tenn.—The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the man who led deputies and Paris police officers on a car and foot chase this morning.
Jeff Buchanan, age 43, of Buchanan, is being held in the Henry County Jail on $5,000 bond.
As WENK/WTPR reported earlier today, Buchanan bolted from a traffic stop conducted by Deputy Kyle Waldron and led officers on a wild chase through the Park Street—Ogburn Street neighbourhood.
The chase ended when Buchanan jumped out of his car in the 600 block of Ogburn, ran through yards and then ran through a gulley. Buchanan was hiding behind a tree stump and was pulled out of the gulley by officers on the Park Street side of the gulley.
Belew said the suspect is facing evading charges, along with the drug charges. He also was driving on a suspended license.
