HCMC Issues Flu Precautions For Hospital Visitation 

 
 
Paris, Tenn.Out of concern for the health and well-being of its patients, visitors and hospital staff, Henry County Medical Center is taking some basic precautions due to the outbreak of the flu virus throughout the community and region.
 
HCMC is asking the community to follow these precautions:

  • Limit visitation to the hospital if you have a fever, cough, vomiting or diarrhea.
  • Visitors may be asked to wear a protective mask while in the hospital.
  • Children 12 and under must be supervised by an adult at all times in public waiting areas and cafeterias.
  • Please wash or sanitize your hands frequently while at the hospital.

 
Influenza, more commonly known as the flu, is caused by a virus that affects the nose, throat, and lungs. While most people recover within a few days of contracting symptoms, serious complications can arise from the flu, such as pneumonia, bronchitis, sinus infections, and ear infections.
 
HCMC asks the Henry County community to respect these precautions to help stop the spread of the flu within Henry County Medical Center.
