“No Blue Christmas” Event A Success

Paris, Tenn.–The District Attorney’s “No Blue Christmas” event today for children who are the subject of cases in Henry County was a success and resulted in a number of very happy children. Assistant District Attorney Rebecca Griffey said the children “are experiencing a merrier Christmas due to the tremendous generosity of the community. I don’t know where to start because so many people contributed to help this come
to fruition.”
The event was held at First United Methodist Church and Lowe’s donated the Christmas tree. A large number of toys and gift cards were donated for the children, many from anonymous donors. Griffey, who organized the event with Debbie Madden-Gray, thanked everyone who helped make the event a success, including the Downtown Paris Association, The Toggery, Paris Police and Chief Chuck Elizondo, Judge Vicki Snyder, District Attorney Matt Stowe and many others who helped set up and volunteered at the event. “We were blessed beyond belief to distribute toys to children in need,” she said.
