High Water Causes Road Closures

Paris, Tenn.—It was rough overnight, with heavy rains leading to high water and flash flooding reported all over our area. Law enforcement and highway crews were busy putting up sandbags and road closed signs, such as this one at the low area on N. Poplar Street in Paris. The Henry County Emergency Management  Agency is reporting this morning that Henry County received 4.49 inches of rain from 7 a.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday. The dispatcher at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office told WENK/WTPR this morning that the Holly Fork bottoms area is the only section still closed. (Shannon McFarlin photo).
