Paris, Tenn.—A Henry County man was arrested on multiple charges, with his vehicle and cash seized after he was found with meth and drug paraphernalia by Paris Police.
Christopher Price of Tatertown Road, Whitlock, was charged with possession of meth with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving on a revoked driver’s license. The SUV he was driving was seized, along with $1,240 in cash.
Investigator Derek Colley observed the white SUV spinning tires while turning onto Chickasaw Road from Pennsylvania Ave. When running the vehicle’s tag through dispatch, it was determined that the tags on the SUV actually belonged on a 2003 Ford truck.
Colley said in his report that he observed the driver moving around in the vehicle and while exiting his vehicle, the driver appeared to have thrown something out of the passenger side window.
While doing the check of the driver’s license, dispatch determined that Price’s license had been revoked due to a previous charge of theft of a vehicle.
Investigator Jeramye Whitaker then arrived on the scene and located a black case on the ground on the passenger side of Price’s vehicle. It contained 24.3 grams of meth. Also found was digital scales, a glass pipe used for smoking meth and several small plastic baggies.
Price told officers that he bought the SUV but had not yet registered it.
Due to the amount of meth found, officers informed Price that his SUV was being seized, along with the cash since the cash represented possible drug proceeds. The SUV was towed to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
