Paris, Tenn.—A Paris man was arrested late last night for the theft of a trailer from Carroll County earlier this month.

Arrested was Jonathan L. Blanton, age 32, of 355 Watson Lane, Paris. He has been charged with theft of property valued at over $60,000 but less than $250,000. His bond has been set at $20,000 and will appear in Henry County General Sessions Court Dec. 28.

According to Henry County Chief Deputy Damon Lowe, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office reported an enclosed trailer had been stolen from their county on December 15. The trailer is 53 feet long and loaded with over 43,000 pounds of aluminum valued over $66,000. The trailer itself is valued at just under $10,000.

Late Thursday night, Metro Crime Unit officers were made aware that the trailer was possibly spotted in Henry County and MCU officers, deputies and Paris Police found it at 355 Watson Lane, with all of its contents.
