Murray, Ky.—A Murray man who stole items from the local Walgreen’s was caught in a crawl space under a residence after a foot pursuit by Murray Police.
Joshua Morris, age 31, of Murray, was charged with shoplifting, fleeing or evading police on foot and second-degree felony burglary and was taken to the Calloway County Jail.
The incident began Thursday afternoon when Officer Trista Colson observed employees chasing Morris and yelling that he had just stolen from the store. Colson asked Morris to stop, but he began to run and the foot pursuit began.
Morris crossed Main Street and ran toward Farris Avenue. The officer then temporarily lost sight of him, but spotted an open crawl space leading under a residence.
With assistance from additional officers and the Calloway County sheriff’s deputies who arrived at the scene, Officer Colson found Morris under the crawl space and hiding in insulation.
