Paris, Tenn.—A Paris man is in the Henry County Jail following his arrest for threatening a woman with a hatchet and holding her against her will.
Richard Glisson, age 56, of Hidden Acres Rd., was charged with aggravated assault and domestic assault following the incident, which occurred on Sunday evening.
Sgt. Wayne Fuqua arrested Glisson at the jail while he was visiting another inmate later that night. Fuqua had arrived at the home earlier on a call that a woman had texted her mother she was being held against her will there.
According to the victim, Glisson had wanted her to go to the jail to visit the inmate but she didn’t want to go and he threatened her with a hatchet. When Fuqua arrived at the home, Glisson had left.
