Union City, Tenn.—The Union City High School Golden Tornadoes proudly displayed yet another golden football Sunday afternoon at the public welcome for the team after they won the State Class A Championship on Friday. For Union City, this is the fourth state championship in football. The reception for the team was held at the high school gym, with a large crowd on hand. Principal Jacob Cross, Director of Schools Wes Kennedy and Coach Darren Bowling spoke to the crowd. All the players, cheerleaders and coaches were introduced and mingled with the crowd for personal congratulations after the reception. (Terry Hailey photo).
