Union City, Tenn.—It’s unseasonably warm, but no one minded tonight as Main Street Union City hosted the 2017 Community Christmas Tree Lighting at the Obion County Courthouse. Master of ceremonies was Joe Ward, with invocation by Rev. Glenn Watts. Entertainment was provided by the Obion county Children’s Chorus, Union City Elementary Chorus Kids and Voices of UCES. The lighting of the tree was by the 2017 Pride of Obion County Mike Cox and Dominic Burnside. Santa arrived early and also was in the Christmas parade that followed the tree-lighting ceremony.
