Paris, Tenn.—Judge Vicki Snyder, Kathy and Paul Carney were among the large crowd gathered for the warmest Advent Walk ever in downtown Paris Wednesday evening. The theme of “Hope, Peace, Joy and Love” was augmented through song and scripture at the welcome ceremony at the Henry County Courthouse and through presentations at First Baptist Church and Quinn Chapel AME Church. Performing the welcome was Dr. Trent Bullock of First Baptist, Rev. Dorothy Hartzog and Rhonda Stantion of Grace Episcopal. At First Baptist, Blair Chadwick led the songs, with Pastor Joe Hansen of First United Methodist talking of peace and at Quinn Chapel the choir sang while Rev. Carol Wade of First Presbyterian spoke of joy. At the conclusion, Dr. John Dandridge of Quinn Chapel spoke of love. In other photo, Rev. Hartzog speaks while Rev. Bullock looks on.
