Springville, Tenn.—This morning’s fire that destroyed a Springville home has been ruled accidental.
The home at 140 Gracy Drive was a total loss after a structure fire early this morning. Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department Chief Reggie Coles said this afternoon that the fire was caused by an electrical short to the refrigerator on the back porch.
As we reported earlier, firefighters were dispatched at 1:30 a.m. Friday morning and found the single-wide mobile home at 140 Gracy Drive already fully engulfed in flames.
Coles said the owner, Victoria Davidson of Trenton, could not be immediately contacted and no one was home at the time of the incident.
Damage is estimated at $20,000. Coles said another mobile home next door received damage to the siding.
