Union City, Tenn.—Union City officials are exasperated by the sheer volume of water bills that have been returned to the city undelivered by the US Postal Service. According to Mayor Terry Hailey said returned bills are being cut in half or damaged by the postal service and sent back to the city. He said the city isn’t sure where the other half of the bills are –“Hopefully, the other half is delivered to the water user”, but noted, “This is what we get for our postage. It results in people not getting their bills. C’mon USPS, help us. We do pay postage.” (City of Union City photo).
