McKenzie, Tenn. – Citing Michelle Mitchell’s diverse experience helping organizations achieve bold goals, Bethel University President Walter Butler announced Mitchell’s new role as Special Assistant to the President for Strategic Initiatives.
“The skills Michelle has gained working with audiences around the country and internationally make her a perfect candidate to help us move ahead in achieving our strategic plans for Bethel. She understands not only how to realize vision in a variety of settings with diverse challenges but also appreciates the strengths of our West Tennessee home.”

Originally from Bradford, TN, a graduate of Milan High School and Samford University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Mitchell has extensive experience managing relationship, financial and outcome-driven goals with audiences in the entertainment industry. Butler added, “Michelle brings the best of both worlds to Bethel. She is native of West Tennessee who has proven herself as an achiever in competitive markets around the country. Her strong business acumen will contribute to our team, as we serve students and community in even more impactful ways.”
