Multiple Injuries In Two-Vehicle Accident

 
 
Buchanan, Tenn.—Multiple injuries were caused by a two-vehicle accident that occurred around 7:30 a.m. today at the intersection of Hwy. 79N and Elkhorn Nobles Rd.
 
Paris Landing Fire Dept, Henry County EMS, Henry County Sheriff’s Officers and Tennessee Highway Patrol Officers were dispatched to the scene.
 
According to Paris Landing Fire Chief Reggie Coles, arriving units found a red Chevrolet car in the median and a gray Jeep Cherokee on the side of the road, both with people multiple injuries.  A total of three ambulances were dispatched.
 
Two adults and three children were transported to the hospital with minor and moderate injuries.  Their condition is unknown at this time.  It appeared the red car was pulling out onto 79 when the two vehicles collided, Coles said
 
The highway was shut down briefly while the vehicles were removed and broken glass was washed off the highway.   Paris Landing Fire Department had  one  truck and six firefighters on the scene for one hour.
 
The accident is under investigation by the THP, which has not yet released the accident report.
