Groundbreaking For Hwy. 641 Widening Project Is Today

 
 
Paris, Tenn.—Groundbreaking for the Hwy. 641 widening project will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Paris-Henry County Heritage Center. The Heritage Center is at 614 N. Poplar St., with the back entrance on 641.
 
Groundbreaking will be conducted by Tennessee Deputy Governor Jim Henry, TDOT Commissioner John Schroer, State Senator John Stevens, State Rep. Tim Wirgau, Paris Mayor Carlton Gerrell, and Henry County Mayor Brent Greer.
 
The $26M, 2.7-mile project will widen the highway from two to five lanes from Rison Street to Smith Road. Construction is estimated to be complete by November 2020.
 
The public is welcome to attend.
