McKenzie, Tenn.— Allegion Americas will be expanding its Republic Doors and Frames operation in McKenzie, investing $4.5M and create 70 new jobs. Republic is located in the Henry County portion of McKenzie.
Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and Allegion Americas made the announcement today and said it will create 70 new jobs in Northwest Tennessee over the next five years.
With this investment, Allegion’s Republic Doors & Frames facility will be updating and modifying equipment to expand production capabilities.
“Nearly 80 percent of the growth in a community comes from retention and expansion of existing organizations,” McKenzie Industrial Development Executive Director Frank Tate said. “With this new development at Allegion, we are excited to see the company reinvesting in the facility and bringing more jobs to the community. Allegion has been a great partner for our region, and we are pleased they chose to reinvest in West Tennessee’s workforce.”

Republic Doors & Frames has operated in McKenzie since 1976 and was acquired by Allegion in January 2017. Allegion manufactures hollow metal doors and frames at the McKenzie facility, complementing its Steelcraft® brand and core business in the Americas.
